Narrow – Skill of Flying

My daughter took this photo as the Snowbirds flew overhead at the end of their show, which was held in St. Thomas, Ontario about a month ago now. There aren’t any smoke trails in the shot, because they were heading back to the local base to land, the show was over.

I thought this image was perfect for this week’s photo challenge, skill, because the distance between each Snowbird jet, in many of the formations, is about 1.2 metres (4 feet). When flying at speeds of 600 km/hr a large amount of skill is required by the pilot to maintain this narrow distance throughout the performance.
