Weekly Photo Challenge – Blur

Tags :

I always loved the way the blurred photo of these Cuban Dancers turned out. I felt it gave the image energy, albeit most of the content was left to the imagination. Thanks to this week’s Photo Challenge I have a great excuse to share it. Related articles across the web Weekly Photo Challenge: Blur Weekly Photo

Weekly Photo Challenge – Sea

Tags :

What does the sea mean to me? Well first and foremost I find being near the sea relaxing and inspirational, however, I also find it intimidating. The pure expanse and depth of the ocean with its underwater inhabitants and potential for huge roaring waves, make it as frightening as it is wonderful; to me anyway. I enjoy

I really can’t say that I have a sweet tooth, but these wonderful Cuban desserts jumped to mind for Ailsa’s theme this week. They were prepared by the chefs at the NH Krystal Laguna Hotel, now known as the Iberostar Mojito, in Cayo Coco. I have heard so many people complain about Cuban food that it breaks

Shade On The Beach

This photo was taken on the beach at Varadero, Cuba. It was an exceptionally hot day as we went in August, so if you weren’t in the water, you needed to be in the shade. It was a beautiful beach and if you look in the background you will see the beach bar hiding in the bushes.

Gecko – Varadero, Cuba

Tags :

This is a very short Video of a Gecko that was inside the restaurant running around on the window blinds. He let me stroke his tail without scurrying off immediately.  My daughter Hannah was more afraid of him than he was of us.  Just for fun!

VIDEO – Lightning in Cuba

Tags :

You have to wait a few seconds to see the first lightning happen. But then the flashes get closer together and get more intense as you get further into it.  I find it just fascinating to watch and I did add music which I hope you enjoy too.
