Sunset on Newquay Bay

Posted in: England, Photography, Travel | 2

I have just got back from a wonderful two-week vacation in England where I was visiting my parents. It was six years ago when I saw them last, when they visited Canada, so I thought it was about time.

We spent a few days touring Cornwall and Devon as I was craving the smell of sea air and even though the weather was typically British very ‘changeable’ and wet, we still had an amazing few days. I really enjoyed the usual British seaside fare, Cornish pasties and good old fish and chips, all washed down with a pint of beer called Doombar. Neither my dad or I had tried, or even heard of, Doombar before and I have to say it was marvelous!

When we were in Newquay we were lucky that our hotel had a view of the bay, otherwise I wouldn’t have seen this gorgeous sunset in time to run outside and take these photos.
