Lenormand Fortune Telling Cards. 36-card deck, 2.25″ x 3.5″ created in a modern style with original artwork created by myself. A lot of the artwork can also be found in my gallery. I have created this deck in a choice of three colours (as shown above) blue, teal and grey. The cards are made from premium 330 gsm superior quality cardstock with black core and a nice smooth finish. They are packaged in a small plastic case.
There are now three styles of Lenormand decks available:
Vintage Oil Painting
I have included a gallery of all the cards in this deck so you can view the artwork of the images to ensure that you resonate with them. (To view the gallery click here). I was inspired to create a few different images that are not in the original Lenormand style and these are as follows:
Rider – for this card in my deck I use a Motorcycle Rider, not the usual horse rider.
Clover – for this card in my deck I use a Horseshoe, however there is a tiny Clover on the horseshoe itself.
Scythe – for this card in my deck I use a Sword.
Sun – for this card in my deck I use a Sunflower.
Anchor – for this card in my deck I use a large Docking Post (the type that huge ships tether too on the dock).
As you’ll see the images do not detract from the original meaning of the card in any way, it is just a different visual interpretation, as I felt inspired to create it. However, please make sure you are comfortable with these images before you purchase, especially if you are used to a traditional deck.
PLEASE NOTE: This deck does NOT come with a booklet. If you are new to reading the Lenormand there are many, many websites on the internet that offer free meanings and instructions on how to read the cards. Plus there are many how-to instruction books available on Amazon.
If you are a novice you can practice with a simple 3-card spread to answer a question to get used to reading the cards together. When you are more familiar with the cards, you could then try a 5-card spread to answer a question, with the center card being the focus and the cards to the left being the past and the cards to the right the future. As you get more experienced with reading the cards in combination to “tell the story” try increasing the number of cards in the layout until you feel comfortable reading a Grand Tableau (all 36 cards).
Reading the Lenormand cards does definitely take practice. However, you will find that there is a lot of free information on the internet as to how to read the cards, their meanings and various layout options. The core meanings of the cards you will find are pretty much identical across the board, with a few additional variations depending on the source. You too, as you become more experienced will have your own interpretations for different card combinations as you will be using your own intuition to interpret them. This becomes automatic with practice. The more you use your deck the more in tune you will become with them and they with you and the way you read them.
If you would prefer to use a simpler style of Oracle cards with the meanings written directly on the card, then have a look at Endless Skys Oracle Deck as these ctards are great for beginners and experienced readers alike.
