Weekly Photo Challenge – Forces of Nature
I realize that Niagara Falls is a well-known and visited area, both the US and Canadian side, but I felt it was the perfect fit for this week’s challenge.
This image was taken last summer when I lived in Burlington which is only a 40 minute drive away. The boat in the photograph above is the Maid of the Mist, which is a great way to experience the thunderous roar of 600,000 gallons of water and to feel the mist on your face. You are given a waterproof, hooded poncho-style covering, which is very unflattering I might add, to protect you; however I guarantee you will still get a little wet.
If you are not a fan of boats you can always experience a ‘close-up’ of the falls on foot, the tour is called Journey Behind the Falls.
