What a great challenge this week… perspective. The beauty of photography is being able to capture and create different perspectives of the world; to show things in a different light. The photo above is not a great work of art, or photography for that matter (smiling), but it demonstrates how you could mistake this photo for real ships on the water.
However, as you can see by the second photo below, it is plainly clear that they are not.
This is a great visual demonstration of how we see the truth about things in our life. Our truth is naturally created by what we see, feel and know about something from our particular vantage point.
Therefore, if the first photo was the only photo I saw, it would be quite understandable for me to think I had seen two magnificent ships on the water. That would be the honest truth. However, as you can see from the second photo, that in fact that would not be the truth.
If I had told someone what I saw, I wouldn’t have been lying or making it up, on the contrary. It’s just that I was unaware that there was a bigger picture; no pun intended.
That’s what I love about life, everyone sees it from their own perspective. It would be good practice if every now and then we reminded ourselves to look at things from a different viewpoint and wonder if there could be more to it then we are aware of. It might even prevent an argument.
Clever, Pennie! Love the perspective!
Thanks Amy, it was a good challenge!
Very nice!
Thank you Znjavid
Very clever! Nice perspective.
Thank you Kongo.
Definitely had me. I was eagerly looking for the seascape shot as I scrolled down amps was surprised. Great shot and a great way to decorate what I presume is a tank.
That must have been quite a disappointment as well…LOL! And yes it is a tank and it was nice to see that someone had bothered to decorate it.
