The Magician’s Game, Prologue: The Wall That Watches

In the city of Virelia, there is a wall no one remembers building. It stands in the crooked alley behind the old opera house, splashed in chaotic reds and whites like the aftermath of a cosmic duel. Most passersby simply dismiss it as graffiti. But those who linger—those who listen—hear whispers.

Every day as night falls, a man appears before it.

He wears a wide-brimmed hat, a coat that seems stitched from the shadows, and he holds a single card in his hand: the ace of clubs. He never speaks. He never moves. He simply waits.

They call him…The Magician.

And tonight, he is waiting for her.

Below is an audio version of the above prologue. I do not have fancy recording equipment but for those who prefer to listen I will be adding these for each episode of this story.
