Poke at Email

This artwork called ‘E-Mail’ is my poke at email. Imagine if we didn’t have email just how full these mailboxes would be. Or would they? We send billions of emails, but how much of that communication would we have sent via mail, if we didn’t have the fast and easy internet option. Also, a lot of emails we send, don’t only replace letters, they replace the times when we would have actually picked up the phone or even met face-to-face to communicate with someone.

I know there are not many of these wonderful icons left, that are actually still serviced. Hopefully though they will always be around as a reminder of a more personally connected era.
