I was thinking this morning about how sometimes we forget to see the beauty in all people and all things. We are always so busy with our lives, that we take a lot of things around us for granted, and by that mean, we just don’t notice them. What I am really saying, speaking primarily for myself, is that we forget to be mindful of the present moment, enjoying our surroundings, instead of being focused on the thoughts that are preoccupying our minds.
It was this thought that inspired the above image called Gold Leaf. It begs the question of wondering how much more we would notice the leaves on the trees if they were all sparkly and golden.
