Hello World – Endless Skys is born

Posted in: Divine Inspiration | 3

This morning I decided to begin a new blog and I want to share how and why this came about. I was automatic writing yesterday, something I may blog about more in the future, and I was channeling with Spirit as I wanted to ask more about my purpose in life. I know change is coming and to be honest it cannot come soon enough for me, but I am feeling confused in which direction I should take the first step. Spirit suggested that I continue my writing, indicating that, at this point in time, it didn’t matter what I wrote about, but to just write.

That’s all very interesting and sounds easy enough, but I’m really not sure what I want to write about. You see I have two blogs already, but I have not been updating either of them regularly. Spirit went on to say that it doesn’t matter if it is a paragraph or a sentence, just get back into the habit of writing/communicating on a regular basis. Always trusting guidance from the Divine, I thought what can it hurt. I love to write and have written over ten journals, but journals, of course, are more for private matters, personal thoughts, dreams, wishes and a way to unburden yourself by releasing problems. Not something that should be shared for public scrutiny.

Anyway, I decided to make a fresh start with a brand-new blog with my first entry being this one, on how it came into being. Now all I have to do is find a name for my blog, so I thought I would put the question out to the Divine for their input as I was coming up blank. I asked Spirit what a good name would be, and they just kept drawing a spiral. So, what the heck, I put in “Spiral” in WordPress, as a potential name and of course it was already taken. I wasn’t really upset about it as I can’t say that name was really resonating with me, so I decided to look up what the word spiral means, to see if I could come up with an alternative. This is where everything came together, my search resulted in finding a website called www.whats-your-sign.com and this is an excerpt of what I read:

Spiral Symbolism

A few spiral meaning keywords to start our spin around spiral symbolism will include attributes such as: Balance, Progress, Direction, Initiation, Centering, Expanding, Awareness, Connection, Journeying, Development.

Perhaps it’s most prolific appearance is in Celtic symbology where we see the spirals decorating a myriad of their ancient artifacts. In Celtic art and symbolism, we can intuit a few meanings from the forcefully present spiral:

      • Evolution and holistic growth
      • Letting go, surrender, release
      • Awareness of the one within the context of the whole
      • Connectivity and union with deific and cosmic energies
      • Revolutions of time, stars, planets and the way of natural progress

You can get your whole body into the spiraling creative process. Walk a spiraling labyrinth as a conscious ritual for growth, just like some of our Native American forebears did (and still do). Dance in spinning spirals, just like the Whirling Dervishes do (whose dance is symbolic of the cosmic dance of the universe). Find ways to express the spiral meaning with your whole being, the results should prove profound.

Speaking of the dance of the universe, in astrology, the spiral meaning sparkles with an understanding of a universe in constant motion. And, as science can attest, our universe spirals out infinitely, thus reinforcing the concept of our endless skies.

The reference to “endless skies” resonated with me instantly as the perfect name for my blog. Why? I loved it, it made so much sense, and guess what…it was available. I know that I have spelled it Endless Skys, but that was the way that felt right for me. So, let’s see how everything unravels from this moment forward.

Please check out the website mentioned above as it contains some very interesting information.

Today is the beginning of the first step towards a new journey….wherever it may lead! I welcome anyone and everyone to make any comments, or if you wish to contact me directly please do, I would love to hear from you.

Carpe Diem,
Pennie
